Job Profile for Engineering Division – Electrical Design and Functional Programming

The selected candidate will be integrated into our Engineering division, which is responsible for electrical design and functional programming activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the performance of the project team in terms of the quality of deliverables and adherence to agreed delivery schedules with the Project Manager.
  • Oversee technical project coordination, acting as the technical interface with clients and suppliers for Oil & Gas sector projects.

Key Activities:

  • Design and implementation of automation systems (control panels, PLC) in accordance with client technical specifications.
  • Produce project documentation.
  • Identify and introduce improvements and/or technological innovations in the production process.
  • Review and distribute specifications during endorsement and kick-off meetings: bid documents, client specifications, lessons learned.
  • Verify the completeness of technical documents issued by different resources (including manuals, FAT procedures, and ITP).
  • Manage technical KOM and Hazop meetings with the client.
  • Provide technical support to procurement.
  • Draft general and equipment-specific technical specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and coordinate with construction teams.
  • Support the new product development process.
  • Collect client feedback and propose improvement ideas.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of automation, electronics, and electrical engineering.
  • Technical drawing skills (preferably also in mechanical design).
  • Knowledge of international standards and sector-specific technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with P&ID, mechanical and electrical drawings, and basic PLC programming.
  • Proficient in Office applications (particularly Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of measurement tools typical of a process plant.
  • Attention to detail in executing assigned tasks.
  • Ability to interface with clients/consultants.
  • Commitment and ability in planning technical resources assigned to projects to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, good manual skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Minimum qualification of a technical diploma in electrical engineering or automation.
  • Recent graduates or diploma holders will be considered, provided they meet the minimum technical requirements.
  • Proficiency in English.

Additional Information:

  • Availability for short-term international travel.
  • Workplace: Songavazzo (BG), Italy.
  • Preferable to reside within a 40 km radius of the company location.
